Expedition guides working in South Georgia, a sub-Antarctic island, with king penguins

We have a passion for connecting wildlife and wild places with our guests. With over 30 years between us working in the guiding and environmental education fields, we’re excited to share our experience and help mentor new guides. During our winter months, we work in Antarctica as expedition guides in various roles (Expedition Leader, Trainer/PTGA Assessor, Lecturer, and others!). In the boreal summer, we run a small whale watching company on Northern Vancouver Island, Canada.

Our Courses

Expedition guides driving Zodiacs in the Arctic

This 6.5 day course is designed to give you the foundation you need to begin your career in the expedition cruising industry. Most of your time will be spent doing on-the-water training in our Zodiac MK 5, the same boat that is used in the expedition world, with an emphasis on safe operation. You’ll also learn about guest management, team dynamics, thematic interpretation and presentation skills, and more.
